FALL BANQUET AND CHILI COOK-OFF

As you all know, the fall semester is coming to an end and it is time to start getting ready for the break.  To celebrate, we will be holding the annual Geosciences Fall Banquet and Chili Cook-off! The event will be the day before dead day, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at The Restaurant On the Corner, 3582 N. Hwy 123 - Garland Street (it is over by the drive-in movie theater.)

Tickets will be for sale in the Geosciences Office (Ozark Hall 113) for $7, but if you make a pot of chili your ticket is free.  Tickets will also be sold at the door for $10. If you are making a chili we are asking you to be at the restaurant at 6:30pm to set up your pot, for everyone else the event will begin at 7 pm.

You don’t want to miss out on this year’s banquet, because besides Dr. Brahana’s awesome slide show presentation, we will have live music provided by some of our local artists.  Let’s not forget prizes will be award to our chili cookers for the best, worst, and any other category we can think up.  Sign-up and buy your tickets for this lovely event in the Geosciences office.

Hope to see you all there and don’t forget to purchase your tickets early!

Cheers!
