Professor Sonja Hausmann will join the faculty of Geosciences in Fall 2006. Originally from Germany, Dr. Hausmann will add new expertise to our research and teaching in climatology, environmental and earth sciences, and geography. She has studied and taught in Germany, Switzerland and Canada and is a paleolimnologist who specializes in the reconstruction of past climates and human impacts. We are happy that she has decided to join the Department of Geosciences. Welcome Dr. Hausmann!
